PCG: Tenant Representative for newly merged Commonwealth Tribunal

OUR INSIGHTS

Leaders from the PCG team discuss some of the key considerations and insights driving their work.

In the recent 2014 Federal Budget, it was announced that as of July 1, 2015 the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, the Migration Review Tribunal, the Social Security Appeals Tribunal, the Refugee Review Tribunal, the Social Security Appeals Tribunal and the Classification Review Board were to be amalgamated into one group.

PCG were engaged as tenant representatives with Director of Corporate Real Estate (CRE), Beau Stewart working closely with the relevant parties to seek out suitable premises, where hearings for the three consolidated tribunals could be held under one roof.  This was found at 83 Clarence Street, where the newly amalgamated group leased 9500m2 for the next 10 years,

The deal was reported on by Carolyn Cummins at the Sydney Morning Herald as yet another indicator that Sydney's Commercial property market was firming up.
